Yes, however, because Winterlude courses begin after the Fall semester ends and finish before the Spring semester begins, students in F-1 and J-1 immigration status cannot count Winterlude registration towards full-time enrollment in the Spring semester. Although Winterlude courses appear on the transcript as courses taken in the Spring, Winterlude credits will not count toward the full-time requirement for the Spring semester. Students with F-1 and J-1 immigration status who are required to be registered full-time in the Spring semester (January to May) must be registered for 12 credit hours as an undergraduate student or 9 credit hours as a graduate student, not including Winterlude credits. Those in the last semester of study who need less than a full course load to graduate in May may be enrolled less than full-time in Spring, and those graduate students that qualify for a Certificate of Full-Time Status or who have assistantships or Graduate Awards may also be enrolled less than full-time in Spring. F-1 and J-1 students whose last semester of registration will be in Winterlude will have I-20 program end dates in December, and their 60-day grace period for immigration purposes (to apply for OPT, transfer schools, depart the U.S., etc.) will begin on December 18, 2024 (after the end of the Fall semester).
